Citizens Participation Project
Stop the Bleeding. Tell Congress to fund housing, not gut it
- Issue: On one hand, the U.S. Congress is talking about a huge budget surplus. On the other: they’re crying poor mouth and gutting programs. A House budget subcommittee has prepared a proposal which includes a $500 million cut to the department of Housing and Urban Development.
Though Congress is in recess, members are here at home right now. It is an excellent opportunity to remind them who they represent and how you want them to fund housing when they return for a vote in September.
