Late Saturday afternoon, Westlake Plaza was crowded with a mix of people. Though predominately white, they were young, old, well-dressed, less well-dressed.
Most seemed focused on economic issues, and many held signs to that effect. Some carried specific demands: "Overturn Citizens United," and one said to let the Bush tax cuts expire.
Other placards were more general: "Student loans equal indentured service," read one. Another was against "corporate welfare." ...
