Cheyenne and daughter, Shanti, choose a pair of shoes at an Oct. 23 rally outside Seattle City Hall. Rally participants highlighted the number of homeless people found without shelter during this year’s One Night Count by displaying 3,123 pairs of shoes and boots on the plaza and the building’s stairs. The shoes were provided by Redeeming Soles, a nonprofit that gives free shoes to homeless and low-income people.
