You just couldn’t resist
The temptation to
Stare at Medusa
The witch with
Long black hair
Like violin strings
The troll doll under the bridge
Who derails passenger trains
In the late afternoon.

Now you are a statue
Of a naked man in a
Downtown water fountain
Spurting like a shower head
With people tossing pennies
While walking their dogs
If girls are dolls to play with
Then guys are mountains
To be scaled down to size.
