Invest in clean energy and healthy communities. Vote yes on 1631. Signature gatherers, volunteers and donors are needed.
Clean energy includes investing in solar and wind power, protecting our forests and guaranteeing clean air and water for our Earth’s citizens. It is now time to care about our environment and our beautiful state by investing in protections that will benefit generations to come. The 1631 initiative is taking an important step toward improving the state of clean energy and its impact on the health and well-being of surrounding populations. The initiative also impacts big corporations that are polluting our environment. They would be required to pay fees for violations of local pollution laws.
In order to be placed on the November ballet, we need more than 260,000 signatures by June 30.
The five biggest donors so far are The Nature Conservancy, Climate Solutions, Washington State Labor Council, Washington Environmental Council and Edmonds Congregation.
