Seattle Parks and Recreation workers have recently installed new covers and padlocks over electrical outlets in Occidental Park. The outlets were covered before to prevent people from charging their cell phones or laptops, but the old covers were getting vandalized, which damaged the outlets, according to the city’s parks department. The city will do the same for outlets at Westlake Park before the end of the year.
