Gov. Chris Gregoire has asked state agencies to come up with proposals to cut 10 percent from their budgets.
Department of Social and Health Services Secretary Susan N. Dreyfus is among those trying to gauge the impact of prospective cuts.

Dreyfus and others at DSHS will be in attendance at a series of town hall meetings around the state to gather public comment on the proposed cuts.
The Seattle meeting will be Wed., Oct. 26 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the South Seattle DSHS office, 3600 S. Graham St., in the Graham room.
The Seattle meeting will be Fri., Oct. 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Saint Mark's Cathedral, 1245 10th Ave. E., in Bloedel Hall.
