Sat., Sept. 19, 11:53 a.m., Airport Way S. Spokane St. Officer was dispatched to a call of an assault that took place 10 hours before near Airport Way S. and S. Spokane St. The complainant was waiting at the Seattle Fire Department station near Fourth Ave. S. to make the complaint. Victim, a transient white female aged 38, reported that at around 11:30 p.m. she returned to the camp where she sleeps, underneath the West Seattle Bridge at Airport Way S. and S. Spokane St. She stated that shortly after she arrived at her camp, she was hit in the back from behind with a metal golf club. Victim had a fresh dark red bruise on the upper left of her back which resembled a golf club head. Victim stated that the suspect was an ex-boyfriend that she has been seeing on and off for five years. She said she had a no-contact order out against him, which officers were able to verify. Victim stated that the suspect should still be at the camp where the incident happened -- she said that she and the other residents of the camp had asked the suspect to leave multiple times, but he refuses to leave, and if pressed becomes violent. Officer responded to the location and was able to find the suspect under the freeway interchange. He admitted involuntarily that he had been in a disturbance with the victim last night. Officer located a Titleist pitching wedge golf club by the suspect's sleeping area and submitted it into evidence. During a search officer located the victim's ID card in the suspect's wallet -- he claimed victim had given it to him for safekeeping. Suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
Sun., Sept. 20, 1:01 a.m., Madison St. Officer on patrol was driving westbound down the 1200 block of Madison St. when he saw the suspect, a transient black male aged 56, sleeping in the doorway of the People's Bank. The business has a trespass contract with the city, and there are signs posted in the front and back of the premises. Suspect stated he was homeless and occasionally sleeps in the doorway. He had previously been trespassed from the same location in August. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into King County Jail for trespass.
Sun., Sept. 20, 5 p.m., City Hall Park. As officer was on patrol he saw the suspect sitting on a bench in City Hall Park. He was aware that the suspect, a transient black female aged 46, was banned from all Zone 4 parks, and he contacted her. She provided ID and the trespass order was verified. Suspect was trespassed for an additional year, and then arrested and booked into King County Jail. n
