Sat., Sept. 5, 3:14 p.m., Bellevue Ave. Victim, a transient white male aged 42, was walking in the 500 block of Bellevue Ave immediately around the corner from Benson's Grocery store. He stated he had seen the suspect standing in front of the store talking to a passer-by. Next thing he knew he had been struck in the back of the head. As he fell to the ground victim saw suspect standing behind him. While on the ground the suspect began kicking the victim around his body. Suspect then got on top of him and began beating him in the face. Victim was able to struggle free and run from the scene. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect. The victim had visible scrapes and swelling around his right eye, and was bleeding from his nose and lips. He refused medical attention and was advised to seek care at his own convenience.
Sat., Sept. 5, 5:27 p.m., Galer St. Officer responded to several complaints of a half-naked man shouting and growling as he wandered around lower Queen Anne. He located the subject, a transient white male aged 48, and recognized him from previous contacts. He appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, and could barely control his actions. His arms were flailing and he almost fell down twice while they were talking. He admitted to having used heroin. Officer was aware that subject lived in a camp in the greenbelt along Aurora Ave. Since no crime was committed and subject did not want medical attention he was transported to his encampment. He was handcuffed during the transport due to his erratic behavior. Short time later officer received another call regarding a subject exhibiting similar behavior in the same general area. Officer located the same subject again, and transported him to Harborview Medical Center personally as no ambulances were available. Harborview admitted him for drug intoxication.
Sat., Sept. 5, 8:39 p.m., S. Jackson St./Maynard Ave S. Officers were dispatched to S. Jackson St. and Maynard Ave. S. for a report of an assault. Victim, a transient Asian male aged 71, was pushed into a shopping cart by a younger transient male. Upon arrival Seattle Fire Department and an ambulance had arrived and treated the victim for cuts to both his hands -- both hands were bandaged. Officers attempted to interview the victim, but he only spoke Cantonese and there was no one available to translate. Suspect had fled the scene, and no other witnesses were available. Victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
Thurs., Sept. 10, 4:48 p.m., S. Washington St., Occidental Park. Officer stopped suspect, a transient black female aged 42, in Occidental Park after observing her entering the park at 4:02 p.m. Occidental Park is in one of the zone 4 King County sectors, and officer was aware suspect was trespassed from all zone 4 parks. She was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
