Thurs., June 12, 11:34 p.m., Freeway Park. Suspect, a transient white male aged 36, was observed along with another subject in the bushes at Freeway Park attempting to store personal items that he did not want to carry around. He was found to be on active supervision with the Department of Corrections (DOC) and was taken into custody and transported to the west precinct. He was then released to the DOC without incident.
Fri., June 13, 3:31 p.m., Western Ave. Suspect, a transient white male aged 41, was in the 2200 block of Western Ave. as officers came riding toward him. He was seen stepping away from the building, and was in the process of pulling up/zipping up his pants as if he had just got done urinating on the sidewalk. There was a wet urine spot where suspect had been standing, and he admitted to urinating. He was found to be active with the DOC, and officers contacted his DOC officer, who stated that suspect was in violation and should be taken into custody. A search found that suspect was carrying a small baggie of suspected marijuana, which field tested positive. He was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
Sat., June 14, 4:53 p.m., Sixth Ave. S. Officers responded to a call of a suicidal male calling from a payphone in the 600 block of Sixth Ave. S. Officers contacted the victim, a transient Asian male aged 44, who had stated to the call taker that he had a knife and wanted to kill himself, and that he possibly wanted the police to kill him. Officers recovered a knife and pair of scissors from his person. Victim stated he heard voices in his head telling him to kill himself. He stated he was seeing a doctor, and had not taken his medications lately. He agreed to go to the hospital and see his doctor without incident, and was transported to Harborview for a mental health evaluation.
Mon., June 16, 10:40 a.m., Freeway Park. Officers contacted suspect, a transient Black male aged 43, sleeping on a park bench in Freeway Park. A routine name check showed him to be on active supervision with the DOC. DOC requested that suspect be detained and transported to the precinct. Suspect was transferred into the custody of the DOC without incident.
Tues., June 17, 3:10 p.m., Fifth Ave., Uwajimaya. Officers received a complaint about suspect, a transient Black male aged 43, panhandling on the premises. An officer responded and trespassed suspect from the store for one year. Suspect stated he would not return to the building. An hour later suspect returned to the building, and was contacted and detained by security. Officers responded and contacted suspect, who stated "I'm a knucklehead. Let me go and I won't come back." He was arrested and booked into King County Jail for trespass.
