The city of Seattle is currently working on a ballot measure to put before voters in November that would renew the city's 2002 Housing Levy, an $86 million property tax that has provided low-income rentals and down-payment assistance for buyers. The Office of Housing expects to present the measure to the City Council for approval in April after a steering committee makes recommendations to the mayor on the housing projects and programs to include.
