Thurs., Nov. 6, S. King St. 12:20 p.m. Subject, a transient Asian male aged 37, was observed by officers sitting under the freeway at S. King St. This area is known for its high narcotics activity. Suspect was holding an open can of Joose, a malt beverage. Officers contacted him and obtained his name and date of birth, noting he had a heavy odor of intoxicants. A name check showed the suspect was on active supervision with the Department of Corrections (DOC). Officers contacted suspect's DOC officer, and were advised to transport him to the precinct, where he was later booked into King County Jail.
Thurs., Nov. 6, Third Ave. and Yesler Way, 3:56 p.m. Officer on patrol observed suspect, a transient Black male aged 52, on Third and Yesler. He was carrying a clear Starbucks container with a bright orange liquid inside. Suspect was contacted, and admitted that the liquid was Joose malt beverage. A routine name check showed an outstanding warrant, and suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
Thurs., Nov. 6, Alaskan Way S./S. Washington St., 6:32 p.m. Officers patrolling the Washington Boat Landing at Alaskan Way and S. Washington observed suspect, a transient Native American male aged 58, sitting with an open beer in his hand. They contacted him, and one officer recognized the man as the same one he had trespassed from the boat landing the week before for drinking a beer. A check of his cup revealed he was drinking beer again, and he was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
Thurs., Nov. 6, Boren Ave., 9:25 p.m. Officer was dispatched to a suicide call on Boren Ave. Officer arrived and contacted subject, a transient white male aged 46, who stated he wanted to commit suicide. Officer asked him why, and he stated he didn't want to sleep outside. When asked if he was planning on hurting himself, suspect replied "Yes," with tears in his eyes. Officer asked how he was planning to hurt himself, and subject stated he had a bag of charcoal hidden in a bush and was going to eat it. During the wait for the ambulance subject said he had changed his mind, and just wanted his stuff so he could leave. Officer found a small pocket knife on him. It was cold and raining outside, and subject was transported to Swedish Hospital to speak with a mental health professional.
Fri., Nov. 7, S. King St., 7:52 p.m. Suspect, a transient white male aged 26, was observed by officers sleeping in the doorway of a business on S. King St. The business was clearly posted "No Trespassing." When contacted, suspect stated he was not a customer or employee of the business. A routine name check revealed an outstanding warrant, and suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
