- "Disease Unease" {RC Feb 2-8} contained information that may have been misleading. During a Board of Health meeting, Jim Jorgensen of the Public Health Preparedness Section acknowledged that involuntary isolation and quarantine would be very difficult for many groups, not only for the homeless.

Restore Voting Rights for Felons
- Issue: A few weeks ago we asked you to contact your legislators to help restore voting rights to people with past felony convictions. The only thing standing between 150,000 potential voters, and restoration of their citizenship rights, is a lack of money to pay off court related debt. A few weeks ago, Olympia activists were working hard to get a bill introduced, and hoping that the flap over whose votes should or shouldn't be counted in the Governor's election wouldn't overshadow their efforts. We hoped that our allies in Olympia would be successful, and that your calls would help. They were and you did help. House Bill 2062 has been introduced, and now that a critical cut-off date looms just a week away, we need you to help get this bill moving. If it doesn't have a hearing, and then get voted out of committee by March 2, it's almost certainly dead for this year.
