DeGooyer modeled the Women in Black witnessing after the silent vigils for homeless men or women found dead on the streets of Seattle. Members of the Women's Homeless Empowerment and Education League (WHEEL) sponsored those vigils. DeGooyer is hoping groups will join her to highlight a local, national, or global issue every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. For more information, call her at (206) ###-####.
